RIDs and CIDs apply creative and technical solutions to interior environments to produce interior spaces which fulfill specific project goals; prepare project drawings and documents; specify materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment; and insure the health, safety, and welfare of the public through code compliance. A RID or a CID is bound by state statutes, rules, and regulations (ie,ethics rules, building and life safety codes, continuing education requirements).
